Violin – 2nd violinist of the Sacconi String Quartet.
“I loved my time in NYSO, and it was an integral part of my musical education. It was my first experience of really exciting chamber music. Viviane trusted us with incredible repertoire – I remember us playing Schoenberg’s ‘Verklärte Nacht’ as if our lives depended on it! The training was rigorous, and as a result, the concerts were passionate and electric. We formed very close friendships, and even now, several of my best friends I first met in NYSO. We still reminisce about the courses, and our tour to Washington DC. I now play in a string quartet, and love occasionally having the chance to play in different chamber orchestras. I recently played Grieg’s ‘Holberg Suite’, and felt very nostalgic about NYSO. I feel very fortunate to have been part of it all, and it has undoubtedly had a very positive impact on my life.”
